Fabulous Fan fayre won the ‘Innovation Award’ at the Sports & Leisure Catering Awards for its ‘Not for Profit’ programme. An industry first for stadium catering in the UK, the innovative fundraising programme invites local charities to volunteer alongside the F3 team on a match day, in a dedicated ‘Not For Profit’ charity kiosk at the Etihad Stadium. Following the success of the programme, F3 have also rolled out the scheme at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road stadium where they currently have three ‘Not for Profit’ kiosks operating on match days.
The scheme sees charities take home a percentage of the revenue made from food and beverage sales at the kiosk, with this increasing based on the kiosk staff hitting certain targets including customer feedback, completing paperwork on time, cleaning up and wearing correct uniforms. F3 was also recognised for its work with charities such as Street Soccer Academy, who rehabilitate young offenders through football with the aim of reducing re-offending rates, and through the scheme, F3 has provided invaluable work experience opportunities as well as developing participants’ life skills and confidence.
Neil Worcester, Managing Director at F3 said:
