The stadium manager and two members of a Walking Football team playing at Bedworth United helped save the life of a player struck by a heart attack while on the field. They started administering CPR and then they shouted for the defibrillator.
Russ Watkin, a director at the club, explained to The Coventry Evening Telegraph:
They managed to get his heart started again and found a pulse and then the paramedics arrived.
I would recommend anyone undertake the CPR training and the British Heart Foundation training too. I know that defibrillators can be expensive, but this just goes to show how important they are.
