Crowd simulation is becoming one of the most important tools for efficient design – before and during construction and then throughout the life span of any building. Oasys invites you to join some of the leading experts in crowd analysis at a free seminar.
Crowd simulation software is a hot topic, with leading architects, engineers and designers using these tools to create spaces of maximum safety and efficiency. This seminar will look to explore how crowd simulation tools are currently being used, and what the future holds for these analyses in BIM processes.
Developers, academics and engineers will be present at the all-day London seminar, with places available on a first-come first-served basis. Professor Winnie Daamen, Delft University and Professor Keith Still, Manchester Metropolitan University will share their expertise in crowd movement and crowd safety respectively.
Also on the platform will be Shravan Patel, senior station capacity planner at Network Rail with Chris Du Sautoy, Arup who will both describe practical uses of crowd simulation in infrastructure. Imperial College’s, Dr Arnab Majumdar Director of the Transport Risk Management Centre, will also provide project details, simulating what is potentially one of the most complex and challenging evacuation scenarios: London’s Dartford Tunnel.
The seminar will take place at 8 Fitzroy Street, London W1 – October 9th, 2015.
